Portadown News: 1st December 1917:
Mrs Finnegan, Jervis Street, Portadown, has been official informed that her husband, Private Samuel Finnegan, has been killed in action while serving with the Egyptian Forces. Private Finnegan had close on three years’ service to his credit.
