Portadown soldier killed
Intimation has been received that Private James Black was killed in action while serving in France a few days before the Armistice was signed. He was the son of Benjamin Black, Artabrackagh, and nephew of Mrs Bulls, Mourneview Street, and Mrs Jane Wright, Drumnasoo, Portadown. Pte Black, who had over four years service to his credit, took part in operations at the Dardanelles, in Salonika, Egypt and France.
