Lurgan Town Householders and Traders Index
From 1700 to 1970

Directories

Lurgan Ancestry are proud to publish this unique database never before seen on any other website. The Lurgan Town Householders and Traders Index is a unique database of addresses of people who have lived and worked in Lurgan since around 1700. We'd like to thank Martin McGoldrick, Jim McIlmurray and Mary Lennon for supplying many of the records for this Index and all of those others who have contributed to it.

The term 'Householder' does not have the same connotations as it does today. This can also refer to someone who is renting the whole or a part of a property and is the head of the household at the time the register was recorded.

Becasue of the code used in the making of the database names using an apostrophe like O'Connor or O'Neil, must be spelled O Connor and O Neil.

The Lurgan Town Householders and Traders Index is a work in progress and we have thousands of names to add to it, which we will do as often as we possibly can, so if you can't find a person you are looking for now, come back again soon and search again.

The information on this website is free and will always be so. However, there are many documents and records that we would like to show here that are only available for sale. If you would like to make a donation to the Lurgan Ancestry project, however small (or large!), to enable us to acquire these records, it would be very much appreciated.
